Dear Barvid,

Thank you for visiting my blog,
Thelyphonus caudatus first time described by Linnaeus in 1758 under the name Phalangium caudatum.

Based on the catalague of smaller arachnids by Harvey (2003), the distribution of the species is in Indonesia (Java, Krakatau and Sumatra) and also reported from Vietnam.

For the species recorded in SIngapore there are 2 species namely Thelyphonus doriae Thorell, 1888 and Thelyphonus linganus C.L. Koch, 1843.

for your specimens, I have no idea which species is.

Hi There.

I have recieved a few Winegaroons from Singapore. Do you know if they could be the same specie as the one pictured above. Where does T caudatus live in the wild? Mine have the same thorax shape and the red marks on each segment also.

arachnida alat mulutnya bukan mandibula atau maxilla, tapi Chelicera makannya ada kelompok takson namanya CHELICERATA yang salah satunya adalah ARACHNIDA.
Chelicera mempunyai dua segmen, segmen basalnya besar dengn gigi dan segmen yang berbentuk runcing dengan gigi.. atau dikenal juga dengan fang ..
